An Enchanted Garden

Wedding styles come and go, but white and green florals are timeless, outlasting trends and fads. The color palette is clean and sophisticated, anchored in tradition and symbolic of new beginnings. As a wedding florist, I wanted to put my own personal stamp on this time-honored look, combining my wild aesthetics with traditional concepts.

When it comes to wedding flowers, I love using what nature has to offer and experimenting with its textual elements and form. I'm also obsessed with creating fairytale landscapes with a 'secret garden' appeal and I wanted to incorporate this into the shoot as well.

To create this whimsical, garden inspired green and white look, I decided to build a magical 9ft arch for maximum visual impact. We layered the flower arch with different foraged branches and foliage, which added a sense of depth and texture. We combined white flowers of various shapes and sizes to flow like a river through the arch. For a bold touch we placed giant white alliums at the bottom of the arch, which looked straight out of a fairytale.

For the tables, I decided to do a lush tablescape of white wildflowers featuring scabiosas and cosmos dancing above the arrangements. The bride's bouquet was also created in the same wild floral style, as if she had grabbed herself a handful of blooms as she walked amongst a wildflower field.

Together with Sarah Brunson Photography and other talented wedding vendors, we perfectly captured this classical floral look with an enchanted garden influence. I hope other brides are inspired by this captivating aesthetic when it comes to planning their own wedding.
